This page provides details of the   WORKSHOP ON TAX JUSTICE, TRANSPARENCY AND ACCOUNTABILITY to be held at the University of Essex, Colchester, UK on 3 and 4 July 2008.

For Conference Programme and Papers click here

The Workshop's main theme is explained in the CALL FOR PAPERS. We would also welcome papers that enhance sociopolitical understandings of tax avoidance and its consequences.

The campus, set in over 200 acres of beautiful parkland, was conceived as a university town, with a series of modern, interlinked buildings grouped around open courtyards and pedestrian squares. Colchester is a historic town and Britain's oldest continuously inhabited town. It is at the heart of the Constable country. Why not stay longer and enjoy the historical sites, fine shops, restaurants, countryside, parks, scenic drives, miniature railway, zoo and other amenities. Further information about sites and places is available from Colchester Tourism website.
