This page
provides details of the WORKSHOP ON TAX GOVERNANCE AND
THE GLOBALISATION OF WEALTH to be held at the University of
Essex, Colchester, UK on 7 and 8 July 2005. This follows very
successful workshops held in 2003 and 2004.
The Workshop's main theme is explained in the CALL FOR PAPERS. We would also welcome papers that enhance sociopolitical understandings of tax avoidance and its consequences.
The campus, set in over 200 acres of beautiful parkland, was conceived as a university town, with a series of modern, interlinked buildings grouped around open courtyards and pedestrian squares. Colchester is a historic town and Britain's oldest continuously inhabited town. It is at the heart of the Constable country. Why not stay longer and enjoy the historical sites, fine shops, restaurants, countryside, parks, scenic drives, miniature railway, zoo and other amenities. The
workshop will commence at lunch time on 7 July 2005 and end at lunch
time on 8
July 2005. The fee for attending the workshop is £75 per
delegate.
For this delegates will be given single en-suite Bed and Breakfast
accommodation
in Student Halls of Residence at campus, evening dinner on 7 July,
teas/coffees and mineral water at suitable intervals on 7 and 8 July.
A non-residential option is also available at a cost of £45. Limited accommodation for additional nights in Student Halls of Residence may also be available but is not guaranteed. Please use the booking form to book your place and mail/fax, or e-mail it to the address shown on the form.
