AABA is concerned with the poverty of accountancy and business education. Failures of this are evident in daily newspapers. Accounting and auditing routinely fail and are implicated in scandals that result on loss of jobs, homes, investments and savings. Accountancy bodies have acted as reservoirs of racism and shun democratic practices.

Major accountancy  firms are busy advising people to escape tax, down sizing, busting trade unions and driving down wages. Whilst they themselves are hardly accountable to anyone. At the same time we live in global times, yet the agenda for this also been hijacked by big corporations who tell us that we have no choice but bow down to their whims, or they are off. Like locust they descend upon communities, devour, make profits and disappears. They have no regard for democracy, family life or anything else.
