ACCA DEPUTY-PRESIDENT SHOULD RESIGN
(Accountancy Age, 3 June 1999)

Too many ACCA exits  What is going on at ACCA? First they
lose vice-president Jim Waits, then the highly respected
ACCA moderniser Ray Gardiner and now they seem to be about to
lose the newly elected deputy president Moyra Kedslie.

Given what we know about the Gardiner affair (which is very
little) there would appear to be some double standards being applied to
the Kedslie affair. As Gardiner had to 'go', surely Kedslie should - to
quote Professor Richardson - 'do the honourable thing' and resign
immediately without further embarrassment to ACCA members.
