The ACCA Tactics for Silencing Critics
Ever wondered how the ACCA silences its critics? All because the critics
want to see an open, democratic and accountable Association. All because
the critics object to the plundering of the Association by an elite.
The tactics deployed by the ACCa included:
-
Writing to the employers of the critics
-
Threatening to withdraw accreditation of the courses unless the universities
concerned silenced the critics.
-
Writing to editors of magazines like Accountancy Age and urging the editors
to reject articles and letters by critics.
-
Lying the members.
-
Threatening MPs who raise serious questions about the governance of the
Association.
-
Leaking results of the Council elections to the press and highlight the
fact that the criticsw have not been elected. Of course, with the President
casting 20-25% of all ballots, critics can hardly get elected.
