AABA can exclusively reveal that the ACCA'S  'inner cabal' has decided that the next Vice-President will be Jonathan Beckerlegge, a man currently defending the need for small companies to have compulsory statutory audits. An 'insider' referred to him as "yesterday's man"  pursuing obsolete and discredited policies. ACCA wants to use 'small company audits', to secure more revenues out of practitioners. Numerous surveys have shown that small practitioners are opposed to the idea of compulsory small company audits and the government is expected to raise the threshold for small company audits.
