ACCA 2000 ANNUAL ACCOUNTS - ECONOMICAL WITH INFORMATION AS USUAL

During the year 2000, ACCA claims to have spent £612,000 in communications with members. But the glossy photos and self congratulatory letters have failed to give members any of the following:

Interested members may wish to ask questions at the AGM. But ACCA leadership does not encourage that. It fails to produce minutes of the AGM. The AGM is the only face-to-face contact between the leadership and members. It is the only time members can ask questions. But ACCA does not to tolerate dialogue. ACCA President speaks for more that 30-35 minutes at each  AGM. S/he arbitrarily decides to allow members to speak for only 3 minutes. The main priority for the leadership is to have their lunch and get rid of the members as quickly as possible.

Until members directly elect the leadership, they will never be able to direct the ACCA's future and shape its policies. Until that time, ACCA will remain a Abit part players.
