Look at the information below. The ACCA leadership has failed by provide members with a geographical analysis of the membership. The data below shows that only five countries have more than 1,000 members. Only 11 countries have more than 500 members. The 2000 motion to raise the EGM requisitioning call to 1% of the membership effectively silences all members outside the UK. The leadership should have released this information at the time of May 2000 EGM but it did not. We know that ACCA officials regularly visit this web site. Perhaps, they will be good enough to explain why they conceal basic information from members who pay their salary.
Hopefully, members in Malaysia, Singapore, USA and other places can
see the effort that they will have to make to secure signatures of the
1% (715) of the total membership. The cynical maneuvering by the
leadership
clearly shows it treats non-Uk members as 'second class' and it cares
little
for the rights and views of the UK members.
