ACCA chief executive visits Seychelles

ACCA is one of the most secretive organisations in the world. Despite requests, it refuses to publish details of the geographical composition of its membership or any statistics about the number of students who pass all the exams at the first or the umpteenth attempts. The institutionalised secrecy makes ACCA's claims of being the world's  'fastest growing accountancy body', hard to verify.

None of this prevented its chief executive, Anthea Rose (not an ACCA member), from attending a cocktail reception for local practitioners and students. Seychelles has just 17 certified chartered accountants and more than 100 ACCA students.

A local newspaper reported that Mrs. Rose was holidaying in Seychelles (click here ).
