ACCA's self-appointed leadership is once again engaged in fixing the results of the 2002 Council elections. The ballot papers have preprinted the names of officeholders (George Auger and Jonathan Beckerlegge) as proxy holders. This is not permitted by the specimen form included in the Rulebook.
The delegated voting system is a corrupt system. It enables proxy holders to fix the results and make sure that their cronies get elected. We urge members to vote for just one or two election candidates. Do not give your proxy vote to any officeholder.
It is also wrong that candidates for the election have to submit their
nomination papers to ACCA officials. This gives them an opportunity to
play games and field their cronies to ensure that independently minded
people do not get elected.
