COUNCIL ELECTIONS

Members who wish to stand for election to Council at the 2000 AGM are reminded that the Chief Executive must receive their nomination papers by no later than 4 February 2000.  Anyone wishing to stand must be nominated by at least 10 other members.  Candidates should supply head and shoulders photographs and election addresses of up to 180 words, including their names, ages and the location of their practices or employers.  They must indicate their willingness to be elected to Council.  They must also state whether or not they are in public practice at the time of nomination and, if so. whether they are eligible for appointment as UK registered auditors.  They are also asked to sign declarations of their willingness to accept the code of conduct for Council members.
