ACCA IN VIOLATION OF ITS ROYAL CHARTER

The saga of the invisible ACCA library was again raised at the ACCA AGM on 9 May 2002. ACCA has an annual income of £41.5 million, 87,000 members and 186,000 students. But no library where members and students can read technical or research papers. Overseas members may wish to borrow publications that they may not be able to obtain in their countries, but have nowhere to turn. ACCA claims to be a global educational body. Even a lowly local school and college has library facilities.

ACCA leadership is shameless. It picks members’ and students’ pockets, but can’t be bothered to provide basic services. At the AGM, ACCA chief executive and president were not the slightest bit embarrassed by members’ requests. By failing to provide a library, ACCA is in violation of its royal charter.
